Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith (above) are about to publish a new biography of the artist Vincent van Gogh (titled Van Gogh: The Life).
The product of a decade of work, the Curator of the Van Gogh Museum has called the book “the definitive biography”.

Naifeh and Smith, who founded the peer review-based lawyer directory in the 1980s, have also written 12 nonfiction books.
Their most successful work, “Jackson Pollock: An American Saga”, won the Pulitzer Prize for biography in 1991, and was the basis of the Academy Award-winning film “Pollock” starring Ed Harris.
