Earlier this week, legal publication The Lawyer held its first ever Management Awards.
Four hundred law firm management professionals attended the event at The Brewery venue in London, which was organized in association with Thomson Reuters.
Clifford Chance picked up the “grand prix” prize of Law Firm Management Team of The Year, while Baker & McKenzie’s Julia Hayhoe was named Law Firm Management Individual of The Year.
Hooked off Hayhoe’s win, John Grimley’s International Business Development Blog has more on Baker McKenzie’s adoption of a “sales pipeline” approach that has boosted revenue in the firm’s London office.
Other awards of interest to legal marketers:
Mishcon de Reya won Best Business Development Team, and Taylor Wessing picked up Marketing and Communications Team of The Year for its work surrounding the Tech City cluster in East London.
Further awards categories recognized talent in legal HR, training, recruitment, IT, knowledge management, and finance.
The event took place on September 24 2013 immediately after a one-day conference focused on law firm management.
The full awards results are available here and some pictures of the event here.
Shortlisted firms were released in June, and the event announced in March 2013.
