Niche legal directories are increasingly prevalent these days – and popular.
While they have smaller circulations then the large multi-practice directories, they often have a high degree of readership and penetration within a particular area of practice or industry sector.
They also have the advantage of specialism, with journalists and researchers able to develop a high level of knowledge within their field and apply a more nuanced understanding of legal practice.
Surveys like Global Arbitration Review, Global Competition Review, and World Trademark Review, are just some examples of directories with a single practice focus that have developed a strong name in the market.
Now a new directory has emerged, focused on the fast-growing area of media law.
Media Law International launched its first edition in May 2014 in hard copy and online, and ranks law firms with media law practices in 40 jurisdictions.
The publishers claim it is the only publication in the market to focus exclusively on media law.
Work is now taking place for the second edition.
