A new legal marketing conference is set to take place for the first time next month.
The Law Firm Marketing Summit, on October 5 2016 in London, is the latest addition to the annual legal conference calendar, which includes established events like the Legal Marketing Association conference in the US, the Professional Services Marketing Group and Professional Marketing Forum events in the UK, and a number of smaller gatherings.
According to the event literature, the Law Firm Marketing Summit will “bring together leading business development and marketing practitioners from the international legal sector, and the one-day conference will provide actionable ideas and business solutions to ensure your firm’s profitable future”.
The program centers mostly on legal marketing and business development, but extends into related areas like legal technology, leadership, and management issues.
From the directories perspective, there’s a session at 2pm called “Understanding the directories” with speakers including Sam Duke, the IFLR1000 editor, and Chambers USA editor Laura Mills.
The directories panel will discuss, among other things:
- What do firms gain by submitting to legal directories?
- How can firms make effective submissions and improve rankings?
- What separates and distinguishes the main legal directories?
The Law Firm Marketing Summit is a joint venture between legal news site Global Legal Post and Legal Media Monitor, a legal PR agency.
