It’s been a rough couple of years for the legal scene in Manchester after two of its largest firms – Halliwells and Cobbetts – went bust.
But good cheer was in the air at the Manchester Legal Awards, now in their fourth year, on Thursday, March 7 2013.
Leading lawyers from across Manchester celebrated their successes at a 500-person awards ceremony at The Midland Hotel.
For the second year running, Eversheds claimed the large firm of the year prize, while Addleshaw Goddard won property team of the year.
Former Manchester United director Maurice Watkins, who is joint senior partner of the Manchester office of Brabners Chaffe Street, won the outstanding achievement award.
