Legal 500 is planning to extend its coverage in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Under the leadership of editor Mike Nash, a number of new sections are due to be added to this year’s EMEA directory for the first time:
- Croatia: intellectual property
- France: dedicated equity capital markets, debt capital markets, structured finance and securitization sections
- Iraq (pictured) : new section
- Malta: aviation
- Norway: capital markets
- Poland: insolvency and restructuring
- Russia: competition
- Serbia: intellectual property
The latest edition of the EMEA guidebook was published on March 27 2013.
The next round of submissions are due May 3 2013, with the research schedule released shortly after.

A dedicated German-speaking research team will shortly start work on the Legal 500 Deutschland edition.

Asia Pacific
Friday, May 24 2013 is the deadline for return of submissions and client references for the next Asia Pacific directory.
Caribbean
Editorial guidelines are now online for the Legal 500 Caribbean 2013. Submission deadline is Friday, July 5 2013.
United States
The Legal 500 USA is published on June 3 2013.
Something of a relief for frazzled legal marketers, the guidelines for the next round of submissions are not released until late July (with a likely November 2013 submission deadline).
The generous timeline gives hard-pressed law firm staff plenty of time to analyze results and get organized for the next round.
