A group of law firms and companies that have been shortlisted in one or more categories for the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards 2013 have been revealed.
Teasingly, the FT has yet to tell us the categories in which the firms have been selected, but at least they know they’re on the list.
The firms and companies named so far account for half of the 14 awards up for grabs.
The remainder will be announced in the next few weeks.
For the time being, the following firms have made the cut.
Private practice award categories include: legal expertise (corporate, finance, dispute resolution, private wealth); client service; value resourcing; corporate strategy; legal industry pioneers; and innovative individual.
First published in 2006, the Innovative Lawyers survey is a joint venture between the Financial Times and legal research company RSG Consulting.
The report recognizes market leaders in the legal industry by measuring and rewarding uniqueness and value delivered to clients – rather than conventional indicators such as size, revenue and profit.
As well as the survey results, the rankings are determined by more than 500 interviews with referees and expert commentators.
An awards ceremony in London in October 2013 coincides with publication of the final rankings and report.
