After teasing us last week with some blurred pre-launch images, Chambers & Partners today unveiled its latest product: legal practice guides.
According to Chambers:
“Our Legal Practice Guides provide expert legal commentary on all the main practice areas. They cover the principal jurisdictions around the world.”
The first legal guide in the series is life sciences.
Edited and introduced by a leading lawyer in the field – in this case, Trevor Cook from Bird & Bird – each guide covers a range of international jurisdictions.
Content is a mixture of Chambers’ own editorial commentary, quotes derived from research by a specialist team, and self-authored pieces by lawyers active in different jurisdictions.
For example, lawyers from the Dusseldorf office of Clifford Chance have written a section on trends and developments in the German life sciences industry.
The information is free to view online, and the guides are also available in book form.
Update: Claire Oxborrow is the editor and contact point for the legal practice guides.

Thank you.
I just wanted to add that quotes and content are not derived from our ongoing research for the core guides. We have a specialist team of researchers working on this new product. This separate team is devoted to finding out how clients do business in these jurisdictions.
Lloyd Pearson says
Thanks for the clarification, Ignacio. Who is the team leader for the legal practice guides. In other words, who should law firms contact if they have a query or want to contribute to the guides?
