Despite an onerous application process, the lure of being named a global award winner by the American Lawyer was enough to persuade most of the world’s major law firms to enter the survey.
In its first such global awards, The American Lawyer announced winners in 30 different categories.
Four further “grand prizes” will be announced at a celebratory event on September 23 2013 at Gotham Hall in New York City.
ALM editor-in-chief Aric Press commented:
“We received over 300 nominations from firms, from every major global player in the U.S. and U.K., and many of the others around the world.
We ended up creating new categories after we saw the abundance of riches. This confirms how much cutting-edge, important global legal work there is.”
