The 2017 Law360 400 – the legal media company’s list of the 400 largest US law firms by domestic attorney headcount – has been released.
According to Law360 reporter Jacqueline Bell, “Greenberg Traurig has vaulted over Jones Day to become the largest U.S. law firm, grabbing the top spot on the Law360 400.”
Launched in 2014, this is the fourth year Law360 has published the “400” list.
The other key list of this nature is the NLJ 350, the National Law Journal’s annual survey, which also lists firms in the United States by size.
The National Law Journal first published its survey of the top 200 largest firms by headcount in 1978, expanded that to 250 firms in 1983, and grew to 350 firms in 2012.
