For the second year, the American Lawyer has named the winners of its global legal awards.
Last week the leading US legal publisher released the names of 36 law firms and in-house winners – up from 30 last year.
A further four winners, known as the “grand prizewinners” for global M&A, global finance, global disputes, and global citizenship, will be announced at a dinner on September 15 2014 in New York.
According to American Lawyer reporter Michael Goldhaber:
The 2014 Global Legal Awards aim to honor law offices that played a substantial role in the most distinguished cross-border work performed between January 2013 and April 2014, across a wide range of disciplines.
The Global Legal Awards were again hotly contested, with 66 law firms submitting more than 270 nominations, including more than 170 transactions.”
Linklaters had a role in six winning matters – the most of any law firm.
